Colonese was recently inducted to the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invite-only organization that works to advance the jury system, support judicial independence, and elevate standards of integrity, civility, and professionalism in the legal profession.
The American Board of Trial Advocates is a National Association of experienced trial lawyers and Judges, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the right to a civil jury trial guaranteed by the 7th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Since 1958, ABOTA has worked to uphold the jury system and to elevate the standards of integrity, civility and professionalism in the legal profession. Their aim is to aide in further education and training in trial lawyers and to provide a forum for discussion through which trial lawyers can have an active voice.
